Salzburg decides today on subway millions

In today's city senate (from 2 pm), the provincial capital will decide how to proceed with the planned extension of the local line, the S-Link, for the time being. At least 1.4 million euros are needed for further planning.

The future mayor Bernhard Auinger (SPÖ) will vote against the planned payments. He first wants to know when the public consultation on the project will take place. Still mayor Harald Preuner (ÖVP): "This is hara-kiri, what the SPÖ is doing."

He wants to approve the funds as quickly as possible. The newly elected municipal council in the city of Salzburg will take over on May 8.
