Sepp Straka goes into the final round in second place
Golf pro Sepp Straka goes into the final round of the PGA tournament in Hilton Head in South Carolina in second place.
The Viennese played a round of 67 with four birdies on the par-71 course on Saturday, and with a total score of 198 he is one shot behind the world number one and Augusta winner Scottie Scheffler (197). The American fired a 63 on the third day and moved up nine places to one.
After the third day, Straka shared the lead with three Americans, with only Collin Morikawa in third place with 199 hot on his heels. For Straka, this means his third PGA title on Sunday; the Tokyo 2021 Olympic runner-up and 2023 Ryder Cup winner won in Palm Beach Gardens (Florida) in February 2022 and in Silvis (Illinois) in July 2023. He starts in the last flight with Scheffler at 7.55 pm CEST (live on Sky).
