The supposed pop star was an internet scammer

This scam by online fraudsters seems to be new: instead of an alleged meeting with a famous singer, a Tyrolean woman lost around 100,000 euros.

Between October 15, 2023 and April 19, 2024, the Tyrolean woman from the Hall area was tricked on Instagram and other internet platforms into believing that she had been contacted personally by a well-known Austrian pop singer. The star allegedly wanted to make personal contact with his fans.

The woman fell for it and was subsequently offered a meet & greet with the singer, which she was interested in. But in the end, everything turned out differently for the Tyrolean woman.

The crooks faked various false facts and tricked the woman into making no less than ten bank transfers. The fraudsters ended up with a total of around 100,000 euros. The money appears to be lost for the Tyrolean woman.
