Incidents in Graz: SPÖ for multilingual bathing rules

Following the recent problems with aggressive young people in Graz swimming pools, SPÖ local councillor Anna Robosch is calling for multilingual bathing rules - and she sharply criticizes ÖVP city councillor Kurt Hohensinner in particular. 

The "Krone" story about several incidents in Graz swimming pools made big waves. Aggressive young people cause trouble there time and again - a swimmer was even injured at the "Bad zur Sonne" last weekend. ÖVP city councillor Kurt Hohensinner is therefore calling for a safety package for the city's swimming pools.

This fact has now prompted SPÖ local councillor Anna Robosch to take action: "Social challenges cannot be solved with security staff, but with commitment and communication at eye level," she says, shaking her head at Hohensinner's initiative.

She is therefore calling for awareness campaigns and multilingual information on bathing and behavioral rules. "Rules apply to everyone and everyone must abide by them. However, these rules must also be communicated clearly and visibly. The resources for pictograms or multilingual bathing rules are certainly available in the communication departments at Haus Graz, which have been massively expanded with a total of 80 people."
