Police looking for white van after accident

A risky overtaking maneuver by a white van led to an accident on the Drautalstraße. The police are now looking for the unknown driver.

A 20-year-old man was driving his car on the Drautalstraße last Friday at around 12.45 pm when he suddenly saw a white van thundering towards him in his lane in Lengholz, municipality of Kleblach/Lind. The van was in the process of overtaking a heavy timber transporter. "The 20-year-old driver had to brake sharply to prevent a head-on collision," said the police.

Appeal for witnesses

Anyone who witnessed the accident on Friday, 12.04.2024 at around 12:45 p.m. and can provide information about the white van should contact Steinfeld police station on 059 133 2238 or any other police station.

Crashed into the crash barrier
The young driver crashed his vehicle into a crash barrier, causing the car to be totaled. The white van simply drove on. The police are therefore now looking for eyewitnesses who saw the van or the accident.

The 20-year-old suffered minor injuries.
