Bloody knife attack on the street in Vienna

There has been another bloody knife attack in Vienna. On Monday evening, an unknown group of men stabbed two 19-year-olds several times at a bus stop in Meidling.

At around 8.30 p.m., the two were allegedly accosted and insulted by the four strangers at the bus stop on Wienerbergstraße for no reason. According to the police, this was followed by a violent argument and the bloody knife attack on the two young men. The strangers fled immediately after the attack, leaving the 19-year-olds seriously injured.

Police ask for information
The victims received emergency medical treatment for their stab wounds and were taken to hospital. One of the two has already been questioned. The Vienna State Office of Criminal Investigation has opened an investigation into the case.
