Accident at an intersection ended at a playground

Two drivers collided at an intersection in Vienna's 22nd district on Wednesday afternoon. One of the vehicles came to a standstill on a playground.

At around 4.20 pm on Wednesday, there was a traffic accident on Düsseldorfstraße in Vienna-Donaustadt. A 43-year-old and a 34-year-old wanted to cross a junction at the same time and crashed into each other. As a result, the 43-year-old left the road in his car, broke through the fence of a playground and came to a standstill on it.

Without a driver's license
Both drivers sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident and received emergency medical treatment from the Vienna emergency services. The 43-year-old was taken to hospital, the 34-year-old refused to go to hospital.

The accident also damaged both vehicles, the playground fence and a swing frame. In the course of the investigation, it was established that the 43-year-old did not have a valid driving license. He will be charged in this regard.
