ÖFB jewel has made an important decision

"A new chapter begins: the ink is dry! I am grateful and proud to have signed my first professional contract," posted Christopher Olivier, who was born in Bregenz, after signing a long-term contract extension with VfB Stuttgart in the presence of his parents Simone and Heinrich. 

The 18-year-old midfielder from Vorarlberg moved from the Vorarlberg academy to Germany in the summer of 2022 and has recently trained with the Bundesliga team on several occasions and has also featured in test matches.

Rejection from Red Bull Salzburg
Christopher, whose older sister Victoria was crowned junior downhill world champion in France in January, also "caught the eye" of series champions Red Bull Salzburg at the start of the year.

At the time, however, he and those close to him had rejected a move, as he is due to graduate from high school in the summer of 2025.
