Cyclist made a wrong turn and was bitten by a dog

Another dog attack occurred in Upper Austria. In St. Johann am Walde, a 69-year-old man from Burgenland accidentally turned into the driveway of a house. The dog living there didn't like this at all and immediately attacked the man, biting him.

The 69-year-old from Wiesen was out riding his racing bike on Sunday. He was riding in the St. Johann am Walde area at around 2.0 pm. When he mistakenly turned off and wanted to turn in a house driveway there, he was bitten on the lower left leg by the nine-year-old domestic dog running loose.

Victim had to go to hospital
The 54-year-old dog owner intervened immediately and called the emergency services. The 69-year-old was injured to an indeterminate degree and was taken to Ried Hospital by ambulance after first aid.
