Schwaz consolidates its lead in the table with victory

Schwaz Tirol consolidated its lead at the top of the Handball Liga Austria (HLA) table on Saturday. The Tyroleans won 39:30 at home against Bregenz in the penultimate round of the basic round and are now three points ahead of their closest rivals HC Hard.

However, the Vorarlberg side can close the gap again on Sunday at home against Fivers Margareten.

Eight quarter-finalists
The eight quarter-finalists had already been decided before the matchday. In addition to Schwaz, Hard, Bregenz and the Fivers, they also include the Füchse from Bruck/Trofaiach and HC Linz, whose direct duel in the 21st round ended 33:30 in favor of the Füchse. Krems (29:24 at Bärnbach/Köflach) and Ferlach (30:30 against Vöslau) have also already qualified.
