Major operation after accident with tractor-trailer combination

What exactly happened in Franking (Upper Austria)? A large-scale operation is currently underway in the community of 1000 people in the Innviertel region. The fire department, Red Cross and police were alerted after an excursion tractor and trailer overturned. Eleven people were reportedly on the trailer.

"Eleven people trapped under the trailer" - the emergency services dispatched a large contingent after the alarm was raised: Three fire departments, a dozen ambulances, an emergency doctor, two helicopters and police are on the scene.

On a birthday trip
It is not yet known exactly what happened shortly before 4.30 pm. Only that a tractor and trailer overturned. Apparently it was a 60th birthday party, because on the small trailer, which has been converted for transporting people, you can see balloons, which are usually used for birthdays or similar occasions. The 6 is still intact, the 0 is torn. It has now also been confirmed that it was a birthday party.

Two people seriously injured
If the pictures are interpreted correctly, the vehicle and trailer may have "buckled" and overturned while driving uphill. According to current information from the Red Cross, two seriously injured people had to be taken to hospital in Salzburg and up to four other people suffered minor injuries. The shocked but uninjured other passengers are being cared for by the Red Cross crisis intervention team at the elementary school. The operation is still ongoing.
