Horrific discovery in Burgenland: a mother found her 17-year-old son lying dead in his room. The cause of death is still completely unclear.

A nightmare for all parents became a terrible reality for a mother from the district of Neusiedl am See. When the woman went into her son's room, she flinched in horror. The 17-year-old teenager was not lying in his bed, but next to it on the floor. No breathing, no movement - there was no sign of life. The body was completely motionless. The son was already dead when the mother went to see him.

Cause still unknown
A world collapsed for her. The woman is in shock. As part of the investigation, a post-mortem examination of the body was ordered to determine the cause of death. "Investigations are being carried out in all directions as standard", said the authorities. The results are eagerly awaited.

It was only in mid-March that a gruesome discovery caused a stir. Two dead bodies were reportedly found in a house in the 550-inhabitant community of Stöttera in the district of Mattersburg. They were a mother and son. The autopsy revealed that both died of natural causes. According to the public prosecutor's office in Eisenstadt, it was possible to rule out the possibility of any outside involvement.
