There was no winner in the west derby SCR Altach against WSG Tirol!

SCR Altach and WSG Tirol have produced another draw in the qualifying group of the Bundesliga!

The Vorarlberg side and the Tyroleans drew 0-0 on Friday evening. Altach had the better chances, but are still waiting for a win after their tenth competitive game in a row. Altach and Watten are both on twelve points in the table, while bottom club Lustenau are now six points behind ahead of their game at Vienna Austria. After seven games in the bottom half of the table, there have now been six draws. WSG were the only side to pick up a win in Lustenau the previous week, which was hugely important for the Watten team.

Both coaches had little reason to make changes. Thomas Silberberger fielded the same Watten team as in the recent win in the "Ländle". Joachim Standfest had to replace the injured Gustavo Santos, with Atdhe Nuhiu coming on in place of the Brazilian. The experienced striker fired the ball into the net in the 4th minute after a well-played counter-attack, but was clearly offside.

An even game for long stretches
In an evenly-matched game for long stretches, Altach tried to disrupt the Tyroleans' build-up play. The visitors managed to make pinpricks. Nik Prelec was on his way towards the Altach goal after a pass from Taferner, but was unable to finish (17').

SCR keeper Dejan Stojanovic injured his left hand in the process and Tobias Schützenauer replaced his colleague a few minutes later. There were no big scenes in the penalty area until the break. It was only dangerous once, but Watten's Lukas Sulzbacher made a crucial save in his own penalty area (43').

Paul Koller with a double chance
Standfest took his captain Lukas Jäger, who had already been yellow-carded, off the pitch at half-time and Lukas Gugganig took over. A minute and a half after the restart, Paul Koller had a double chance to take the lead. The central defender tried to head and kick home from a set-piece, but the WSG players cleared the ball together.

Koller was also on the verge of ending the goal drought after an hour. However, the U21 team player's header after a corner kick was too central for WSG goalkeeper Adam Stejskal. Altach stepped up the pressure, but once again their chance conversion left a lot to be desired.

Wattens then opened up the game again. The Silberberger team even managed to score once. However, the late goal by Sandi Ogrinec (88') was disallowed by referee Sebastian Gishamer, who saw a foul by Prelec on Altach's Constantin Reiner.
