Farm store thieves caught on camera

Images from a surveillance camera led the police to farm shop thieves in the northern Flachgau region of Salzburg. The perpetrators from Romania denied everything.

Two Romanians from Salzburg stole several food items from a farm store in northern Flachgau while it was still daylight on Wednesday evening. After the crime, the 28-year-old woman and her 50-year-old father drove off in their car. The young woman got behind the wheel without a driver's license.

Using images from a surveillance camera, the officers quickly tracked down the perpetrators. When she was confronted with the allegations at the car's registration address, the 28-year-old denied any involvement in the crime and was aggressive towards the police officers. However, they identified her and her father beyond doubt as the perpetrators on the basis of the video images. They will be charged.
