Palfinger lowers forecasts for 2024

Due to the "persistently low order intake" in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the Salzburg-based crane manufacturer Palfinger is reducing its production and expects a slight decline in revenue this year.

Based on this decision, a slight decline in revenue is expected for the full year 2024 compared to 2023 and thus earnings before interest and taxes of around 20 percent below that of the record year 2023 (EUR 210.2 million).

For the first quarter of 2024, however, the crane manufacturer expects earnings to be significantly higher than in the same period of the previous year (Q1/2023: EUR 48.9 million).
