Insider: NATO intercepted Russian aircraft

According to two insiders, Italian NATO aircraft have intercepted two Russian planes over the Baltic Sea. The Italian air force only spoke of two unidentified aircraft that were intercepted over international waters in the Baltic Sea on Thursday and Friday morning.

Two Italian Eurofighters had been in action and had subsequently returned to their base in Poland.

Aircraft did not respond to radio contacts 
The two insiders from Italian defense circles said that the two Russian aircraft had been detected by radar and had not responded to attempted radio contacts.
