The EU's weak economic growth should at least have one good thing: For the first time in a long time, Europe could beat the US to the punch and herald an earlier turnaround in interest rates. In an interview with "Krone", Robert Holzmann, Governor of the Austrian National Bank, also explains the new cash rules.

"Krone":  Thefact that the contracts for the OeNB Board of Directors were advertised early is unusual. What do you think about this?
Robert Holzmann: What is important to me is that the best minds emerge from the process, regardless of when the tender takes place.
