Strongman Müllner:
Fourth world record successfully broken in Australia
Strongman Fran Müllner's latest world record attempt almost seemed to fail. Anyone who knows the man from Salzburg knows that the 54-year-old doesn't give up that easily.
"The first attempt ended at 2.6 meters. But anyone who knows me knows that I don't give up," says strongman Franz Müllner to "Krone". On his record-breaking world tour, the man from Salzburg set a new world record on his second attempt in Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. "Heaviest towed truck with a helicopter landing on top" was the challenge.
Müllner managed to move the 30-tonne truck including the 2.2-tonne helicopter a full 4 meters 85 centimetres. "During the downwash, which occurs during the landing process, the weight of the helicopter increases fivefold. That was extremely difficult for me," admits the strongman. The temperature of 28 degrees Celsius in Australia probably contributed to this.
Franz Müllner is now heading home for the time being. But his world tour is not over yet. Also still on his list this year: Asia. Müllner wants to pull ten e-cars there.
