Purchased excavator was never delivered: extensive damage

The purchase of an excavator turned into a nightmare for a Tyrolean man. The man had discovered the vehicle on the Internet and, after making several enquiries through various channels, completed the transaction. But the excavator was never delivered. The damage is enormous!

The 44-year-old from the Außerfern region discovered the excavator on an internet platform. The supposed seller wanted a mid five-digit euro amount for it. They first corresponded in writing, then spoke on the phone and exchanged further details via WhatsApp.

Paid into a German account
Finally, the Tyrolean decided to make the purchase. The seller sent him the invoice by email and the 44-year-old paid the purchase amount into a German bank account. He then lost contact with the seller. The excavator was not delivered either.

In the meantime, the 44-year-old discovered the excavator on Facebook. It was offered for sale there again. The police are investigating.
