Club wants certainty
Change or stay? Bayern losing patience
Will he stay at FC Bayern or move to Real Madrid? Alphonso Davies' future has been a hot topic at Säbener Straße for months. While the Munich club would like to keep the defender, the Canadian is demanding a substantial pay rise. The club bosses are running out of patience and are demanding a decision soon.
"At some point in your life, you have to say yes or no," neo-sporting director Max Eberl made clear just a few days ago. In order to be able to hold talks with potential successors in good time if necessary, the 50-year-old expects Davies to make a decision soon.
Different salary expectations
As reported by Sky, among others, the left-back has an offer on the table to extend his contract until 2029 and is set to earn €14 million a year. Davies, however, is said to be demanding up to 20 million - a sum he is unlikely to receive from the German record champions.
Alternatively, the 23-year-old could join Real Madrid. However, the "royals" are again said to be unwilling to transfer the required 50 to 60 million euros to Munich. After numerous talks, no solution has yet been found. FC Bayern now wants an answer within a week. Will Davies stay in Munich or will he continue to chase titles for the "royals"?
