Daniel Huber came out on top in the final World Cup competition of the winter in Planica with a crazy flying show. With his superior victory on the day, the man from Salzburg also managed to outdo Stefan Kraft in the race for the small globe for the Ski Flying World Cup.

The overall World Cup winner finished in fourth place, with Domen Prevc from Slovenia in second ahead of Aleksander Zniszczol from Poland. Daniel Tschofenig came eleventh and Manuel Fettner twelfth.

Mega jump to 247 meters
Huber impressed in the first round with a jump of 247 meters and thus virtually took the lead in the Special World Cup. Kraft was already fourth after the first part, Precv third and Zniszczol second. Timi Zajc from Slovenia, who would have had a small chance of winning the small ball, decided not to compete due to shoulder problems.

Kraft: "That was a demonstration of power"
In the final, Kraft set the pace with a jump of 239.5 m, Domen Prevc countered with 238 m and finished ahead of the Austrian. Zniszczol, the penultimate skier on the hill, sailed into second place with 237.5 m, pushing Kraft into third place.

Huber concluded the competition with a jump of 242.5 m in spectacular style. "That was a demonstration of power," said Kraft about his team-mate.

Hörl was missing
Jan Hörl from the successful Austrian team was no longer at the start. After a great season of ski flying, he was no longer able to get going, he said. "Maybe the air is a bit out. But in ski flying you have to be one hundred percent sure. That's why I decided with the coaches to skip the last competition today."
