Celebrities repent & delete “stupid jokes” about Kate

After the shocking news of Princess Kate's cancer diagnosis shook the world, Hollywood star Blake Lively spoke out with a remorseful message. 

In an Instagram story, the 36-year-old apologized for an earlier post in which she had made fun of a manipulated photo of Kate.

"Stupid post"
"I'm sure no one cares today, but I feel like I have to admit it," Lively confessed. She had posted "a stupid post" that now embarrassed her. "I'm sorry," said the actress.

Princess Kate, who made her cancer diagnosis public on Friday, posted a family photo of herself with her children online on Mother's Day, which she had edited in some places. Several news outlets retracted the photo after it was discovered and celebrities like Lively poked fun at it.

Postings deleted
The actress ("Gossip Girl"), who is married to Ryan Reynolds, had posted a poorly manipulated photo of herself holding a can and announced that she was very happy to post her new photo, which she "just took today". She has since deleted the post.

Lively is not the only celebrity to show remorse following Kate's diagnosis. Actor and YouTuber Kalen Allen is now also ashamed of his video about Princess Kate's whereabouts and deleted it.

Allen said, "The recent revelation about Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis necessitated a reevaluation of this particular content."

Stars such as Kim Kardashian and Sheryl Crow, who had also previously posted mocking comments, remained conspicuously silent after the cancer was revealed.

Kardashian did not take her post, in which she announces that she is now going out to find Kate, offline either.
