Tiger Woods starts at the Masters Tournament in Augusta

US golf star Tiger Woods is listed in the field for the prestigious Masters from April 11 to 14 and is therefore likely to tee off at the first major of the year at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.

The 48-year-old has only made one appearance on the PGA Tour this season. However, Woods withdrew from his invitational tournament in Pacific Palisades, California, in mid-February due to illness.

The five-time Masters champion had been forced to withdraw from Augusta at short notice last year due to injury. Woods last won there in 2019. The long-time world number one broke his right leg several times in a serious car accident in February 2021. Since then, Woods has only competed in a few selected tournaments.
