Funding from the state
159 million euros for affordable housing in Tyrol
The state of Tyrol wants to promote sustainability and facilitate renovation projects with further subsidies. Grants are also available for new builds and non-profit housing.
For renovating your own home, buying a new apartment or for non-profit housing - the province of Tyrol is providing 159 million euros in funding for affordable housing as part of its housing subsidies. The subsidies are valid for the period from December 2023 to March 2024. 99 million will go towards new construction projects, 29 million towards renovation projects and 31 million towards non-profit housing. "Housing is a basic need and is therefore a clear focus of our government's work. With the housing subsidy, we have an instrument to provide targeted support to Tyroleans and make affordable housing possible," explains Georg Dornauer, Deputy Governor.
Funding also for sustainability
A large part of the funding is sustainability. This also includes the renovation or installation of PV systems or the installation of an e-charging station. This is intended to create an incentive for "green living".
