Tyrolean loses almost 100,000 euros after investment

A Tyrolean man was offered a supposedly good deal on an online platform last year. The 59-year-old invested diligently for months. Now came the rude awakening. The man was cheated out of a lot of money. 

The police are talking about internet fraud and huge losses. The 59-year-old Tyrolean is said to have lost almost 100,000 euros. It all started so promisingly: as the victim told the investigators, he had repeatedly transferred money to several bank accounts in different countries from May of the previous year.

The man was promised a prize of 120,000 US dollars by a supposed broker. An advertisement on the Internet led the Tyrolean to make the investment. Until recently, he kept transferring money. Then he wanted to have the winnings paid out. But his business partners had disappeared.
