Wien Energie lowers prices for electricity and gas
Good news for customers of Wien Energie: the prices for electricity and gas will be significantly reduced.
From April 1, the price of the "Optima Entspannt" electricity tariff including discounts will fall to around 14.9 cents net (around 18.9 cents gross) per kilowatt hour, as the company announced on Wednesday. The "Optima Aktiv" floater electricity tariff, which is adjusted monthly in line with market developments, is set to fall to around 7.3 cents net in April.
Wien Energie has also announced price reductions for gas. The "Optima Entspannt" gas tariff with a one-year price guarantee is set to fall by around 25 percent in April, while the "Optima Aktiv" floater gas tariff will remain stable. The actual prices will not be known until the end of March due to the indices relevant to the tariffs.
