Club gives update
Team player can neither move nor speak!
It has been around a month since Sweden's 47-time team player Kristoffer Olsson was admitted to hospital with an acute brain condition and placed in an induced coma. His club, FC Midtjylland, have now provided an update on the 28-year-old's condition.
As the Danish Superliga club announced on its website, Olsson, who collapsed at home in February, no longer requires artificial respiration. The midfielder has been transferred to a neuroclinic for further treatment, and experts will accompany him during his rehabilitation.
Long road back
However, Olsson is still a long way from a normal everyday life. "Unfortunately, Kristoffer has not yet regained his motor and speech skills," explained FC Midtjylland, adding that the former Arsenal youth player is unable to move or speak.
Olsson still has a long way to go before he can return to anything like his normal life. Doctors expect his treatment to last for months, although it is still too early to give an exact prognosis.
