First major milestone for Salzburg’s Knights

The Salzburg Knights basketball team celebrated the first victory in the club's history.The focus at the new club is on young talent.

After a disagreement with the BBU Salzburg management team, four "Falcons" founded their own club in the summer - the Salzburg Knights.

The club has been growing and thriving ever since. In the 1st provincial league (3rd level), the "Knights" had to admit defeat to the reigning champions BSC Salzburg at the start. However, the first milestone was reached in the second competitive game in the club's still young history. The newcomers recently celebrated their first win at Zell with a 72:66 victory. "We didn't expect it to happen so quickly," said not only the Pinzgauers, but also Knights chairman Raphael Miksch, who was surprised.

For him, the main focus is on development and young talent: "We held our first youth tournament at the weekend, which was very well received." 35 children already play in the Mozartstädter youth team.
