Pupils in Pressbaum in the district of St. Pölten may have played a bad joke: They clogged two urinals with erasers and the overflowing water caused extensive damage.

For several days, water is believed to have run unnoticed from two blocked urinals on the upper floor of the new secondary school, causing damage to the ceiling and walls of the toilet facilities on the floor below. Who caused the urinals to become blocked with erasers is still under investigation. The damage is in the four-digit euro range.

Meanwhile, another incident of vandalism at the school has been solved. A teenager had defaced the door panels of the lower toilet facility with a black, waterproof pen to such an extent that they had to be completely replaced. Whether there is a connection with the other toilet incident is still being investigated.

"Willful destruction has no place in our community. We are also examining and discussing possible further measures with the youth welfare department," emphasizes district police commander Philipp Harold.
