According to the French portal "actu.fr", there was a medical emergency and a medical team from Montpellier University Hospital had to rush to the players' hotel for the 26-year-old.

According to the report, Dembélé's eardrum was damaged, possibly even ruptured. It is still unclear whether the winger will be fit to play in the upcoming international matches against Germany (March 23) and Chile (March 26).

Dembélé moved to the French capital from FC Barcelona for €50 million in the summer, where he has so far scored one goal and provided twelve assists in 32 competitive appearances.
