2:1 for Clermont
Double from ÖFB striker decides game
Muhammed Cham scored both goals in Clermont Foot's 2-1 home win over Le Havre in the French soccer championship.
The 23-year-old, who has been called up to the ÖFB squad for the March internationals, first gave his team the lead (12th) on Sunday. After the visitors equalized (45.+1), Cham scored from the penalty spot in the fifth minute of first-half stoppage time. These were the attacker's third and fourth goals of the season in Ligue 1.
Clermont nevertheless remain bottom of the table, three points adrift of penultimate-placed Metz and six points adrift of the drop zone. At the top of the table, Monaco and coach Adi Hütter were unable to benefit from the draw between rivals Brest and Lille (1-1). After a 2-2 draw against stragglers Lorient, the Monegasques remain third, with Monaco conceding the second goal in the 95th minute. Paris Saint-Germain remain in a commanding position at the top.
