ORF expert furious
Hans Knauß: “This is quite a theater!”
Hans Knauß is not only known for his witty remarks, but also for his clear words. "It's quite a spectacle," he says about the races in Zermatt, which are coming under increasing criticism.
The races in the Swiss-Italian border region have now been canceled for two years due to the weather, with a total of eight cancellations. "A theater that throws the planning into disarray," ORF expert Knauß is annoyed. He speaks of a "suicide mission". Especially due to the timing and the weather conditions.
In addition to the calendar planning, the former racer is also worried about the injury list. Knauß takes the FIS to task: "They have a lot to do."
What'snext for the equipment?
Among other things, the 53-year-old is calling for changes to the equipment. "The ladies ski with men's equipment. With skis as long as I used to ski," says Knauß. Mitigation is needed: "Something has to be done!"
