Now official: Innsbruck’s “Fruchthof” saved!

The rumor mill was already buzzing at the beginning of the week, but now it's official: the popular Fruchthof in Innsbruck will be preserved and will not be closed or razed to the ground. The two entrepreneurs Johann Berchtold jun. and Johannes Marsoner are taking over.

With the takeover at the beginning of May, the two entrepreneurs would ensure "the continued existence of a culinary institution in the provincial capital", according to a press release on Friday. The award-winning restaurant "Fischiff" as well as the gourmet market and the fish counter would remain "important pillars of the future concept".
