Dealer couple caught red-handed by police
Since last October, the criminal investigation department has had a couple from Villach in its sights who were suspected of dealing drugs from Slovenia. On Monday, the two were caught red-handed during a deal.
Detectives from the Villach municipal police command had been conducting extensive investigations into a man from Villach (26) and his 25-year-old girlfriend since October of last year. The two were suspected of dealing in narcotics. "In the course of the investigation, suspicions were confirmed that both were obtaining heroin and cocaine from Slovenia and reselling it for profit, at least in Carinthia," said the police, who were able to identify a 29-year-old Serbian citizen as a supplier.
Caught during a deal in the parking lot
On Monday, the couple from Villach and the supplier were caught red-handed dealing narcotics in a parking lot in Klagenfurt and arrested. "The Serbian citizen has so far been proven to have been selling heroin. The man from Villach was found to be selling cocaine, tablets containing morphine and herbal cannabis," said an investigator. In addition, heroin and several thousand euros in cash were seized from the 26-year-old.
The man from Villach and the Serbian were taken to Klagenfurt prison. The woman has been released.
