Europa League exit

Even ÖFB goalscorer Michael Gregoritsch was unable to prevent SC Freiburg's Europa League exit in the round of 16 against West Ham United!
After the 1:0 home win in the first leg through the red-white-red golden goalscorer, the German Bundesliga club conceded a deserved 0:5 defeat at the Premier League club in London on Thursday. Gregoritsch was substituted at half-time, with Junior Adamu and Philipp Lienhart sitting on the bench.
Freiburg's European tour ends in London
Coach Christian Streich's Freiburg started with exactly the same line-up as in the first leg at London's Olympic Stadium. However, it only took nine minutes for Lucas Paqueta to get on the end of a corner kick and push the ball over the line. Jarrod Bowen (32'), Aaron Cresswell (52') and Mohammed Kudus with a solo run across half the pitch (77') and a shot from distance (85') made it clear for the Conference League champions.
AC Milan also had no problems at Slavia Prague, winning 3:1 (3:0) after a 4:2 victory in the first leg. The Czechs were weakened by a red card in the 20th minute, allowing Milan to progress to the quarter-finals without any problems.
PAOK spectacularly progress with Schwab and Murg
In the Conference League, PAOK Thessaloniki turned around a 2-0 first-leg deficit against Dinamo Zagreb in spectacular fashion with the two Austrian internationals Stefan Schwab and Thomas Murg. The Greeks beat the Croatian champions 5:1 (3:0) in a thrilling match. Schwab started for PAOK and was substituted in the closing stages, Murg came on in the 78th minute with the score at 4:1.
ÖFB goalkeeper Heinz Lindner played in Union Saint-Gilloise's 1-0 win at Fenerbahce Istanbul, but the Turks were able to advance unchallenged after a 3-0 win in the first leg.
