Operation in Ischgl: Night-time fire alarm in hotel

Fire alarm in the Tyrolean winter sports resort of Ischgl on Wednesday night: a fire broke out in the laundry room of a hotel in the early hours of the morning. The alerted fire department was able to prevent the worst.

The local fire department was called at around 4 am. According to the police, smoke and flames broke out in the laundry room of the hotel in the area of a laundry basket for unknown reasons.

Emergency services prevented the worst
"Using heavy breathing protection, the fire was brought under control so that greater damage could be avoided," the fire department report states. The affected rooms were then ventilated.

No one was injured. The Ischgl volunteer fire department was deployed with three vehicles and around 30 members.
