Freund makes you sit up and take notice: Will Davies stay in Munich?

Christoph Freund continues to believe that Alphonso Davies will stay at FC Bayern. After the Canadian has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for several months, the Munich sporting director has now stated that a contract extension is "not at all unlikely".

"There are talks and they are good and open. We'll see how things turn out over the next few weeks," the Salzburg native told Sky. Davies feels very comfortable at FC Bayern and enjoys playing for the German record champions. 

Davies wants 20 million
The left-back's contract expires in 2025 and FC Bayern have already offered the 23-year-old a new contract until 2029, according to reports, which will earn him between 11 and 13 million euros a year. However, Davies is demanding 20 million euros, so Munich would probably have to add a considerable sum on top to keep the defender on the Isar.
