Queen Camilla’s Barbie “made 50 years younger”

Queen Camilla of Great Britain was presented with a special award at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday: she received a Barbie doll modeled on her. The 76-year-old was visibly flattered by the gift and joked: "You've made me about 50 years younger - we should all have a Barbie!"

The doll is wearing a miniature version of an outfit Camilla often wears: a blue dress by Fiona Clare, a black cape by Amanda Wakeley and black boots by Eliot Zed.

However, it is a one-off and will not be on sale.

Recognition for Camilla's commitment
The Barbie doll was presented to Camilla in recognition of her work as President of the Women of the World (WOW) Foundation.

The organization is committed to the advancement of women and girls worldwide. Camilla has been involved in these issues for many years and has been particularly committed to strengthening girls' education and combating violence against women.

Celebrity guests at the ceremony
The ceremony was also attended by Belgium's Queen Mathilde and actress Helen Mirren, who plays the narrator in the "Barbie" film with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.

Charles on sick leave
In addition to her own public events, such as the reception to mark International Women's Day, Queen Camilla is currently also taking over many appointments from King Charles, who was diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of February.

It is not known what form of the disease it is - except that it is not thought to be prostate cancer.

The monarch has since undergone treatment and has canceled all public appearances until further notice.
