Conceicao: “Arteta insulted my family”

Uproar in the Champions League: Porto coach Sergio Conceicao accused Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta of insulting his family after the match.

"What Arteta said in Spanish towards the bench was an insult against my family. I told him that the person he had insulted was no longer with us," said an angry Conceicao at the press conference after his team's defeat. Arteta denies the accusations.

Porto were narrowly beaten in the Champions League round of 16 by Arsenal on penalties.

After the final whistle, Conceicao and Arteta had a battle of words. "He should concentrate on training his team," said the Porto coach. "The result was unfair. My team deserved to progress."
