"Snow Jazz"
Gastein becomes a jazz hotspot again
Gastein has been a hotbed of jazz music since 2002. Over the years, the sawmill in Bad Hofgastein has become the main venue for the "Snow Jazz Gastein" series of events. So it's no wonder that jazz greats will be performing there again from today.
ENJ Society feat. Oliver Kent kick things off today. They open the festival with a mixture of bebop, waltz and swing. For Snow Jazz Gastein, they have brought the Viennese pianist Oliver Kent on board.
On Thursday, Austrian jazz trumpeter Mario Rom performs with his trio Interzone. The Austria String Trio, Wolfgang Puschnig's FULSOME X and Michaela Rabitsch & Robert Pawlik 4tet are on the program from Friday.
In addition to the Sägewerk, the Weitmoser Schlossalm and the Hotel Miramonte Bad Gastein will also be playing.
