Cinch it in, please!
The stars are making the wasp waist a trend again
Corsets and corsets are making a comeback, and not just with the Netflix series "Bridgerton", which starts its third season in May. Celebrity beauties have declared wasp waists the absolute trend at the Oscars. One constriction, please!
One trend set the tone at the Oscars and the parties afterwards: stars such as Margot Robbie, Kim Kardashian and Zendaya all appeared on the red carpet this year with XXS waists.
Robbie twice in a corset
Probably the most sensational look was worn by the "Barbie" beauty, who appeared at the "Vanity Fair" party in a golden corset by Mugler - wasp waist included.
At the Oscar Gala itself, the Australian had already opted for a Versace dress with a bodice that showcased her curves in an exciting way.
Fellow actress Zendaya also opted for a narrow waist with an hourglass figure. Like Margot Robbie's Oscar dress, Zendaya's pink and gray robe by Giorgio Armani Privé had an integrated corset.
Kim laced herself up again
As the undisputed queen of the hourglass figure, it was only natural that Kim Kardashian also took part in this year's Oscar trend. The 43-year-old attended the "Vanity Fair" party in a white dress by Balenciaga, which also concealed a corsage.
Incidentally, this is not the first time that Kim has had her waist cinched in. Just recently, Kardashian shared pictures of herself with an XXS waist on Instagram - and received criticism from fans.
America Ferrera was not only radiant in Barbie pink, but also with a great hourglass figure to compete with the Oscar. Her Oscar gown, like that of her "Barbie" colleague Margot Robbie, was made by Versace.
Hourglass figure as the undisputed trend
Other stars also impressed with wasp waists - above all Salma Hayek in a metallic gown by Gucci, but also Anya Taylor-Joy in a dress by Dior Haute Couture.
And Camila Alves, wife of Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey, and Cardi B also joined in the wasp-waisted trend.
The Oscars were awarded on Monday night in Los Angeles. The big winner of the evening was the film "Oppenheimer" with seven awards - including "Best Picture", "Best Director" with Christopher Nolan and "Best Actor in a Leading Role" with Cillian Murphy.
