This led to physical confrontations between the opposing supporters, as reported by German media and vol.at. According to the police, pyrotechnics were also set off, causing so much damage to the train that it could no longer be used.
However, by the time the first emergency services arrived at the station, the perpetrators had already left on another train and in a car. It was initially unclear whether there were any casualties. The German police are investigating for bodily injury, damage to property, disturbing public businesses and breach of the peace.
