The most spectacular gowns of the 96th Oscar Gala
When the Oscars are awarded in Los Angeles, the celebrity ladies are known to dress up particularly smartly. This year, the focus was on classic black as well as Barbie pink. Sexy curves included!
Classic black was absolutely on trend again this year. Eva Longoria showed off her killer curves in a tight, off-the-shoulder dress by Tamara Ralph.
Margot Robbie also opted for a dream gown in black. She shone in a dress by Versace. Vanessa Hudgens also chose a black, skin-tight Vera Wang dress to show off her baby bump for the first time.
Barbie pink on trend
But it wasn't just the dark color that was very popular this year, but also Barbie pink. America Ferrera, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress but unfortunately missed out, came in a glittery pink gown by Atelier Versace - a tribute to her role in "Barbie".
Ariana Grande had the most voluminous gown of the evening. The singer attracted everyone's attention in a pink dress by Giambattista Valli. Zendaya also looked fantastic once again: She wore a gown in pink with gray glitter palms by Armani Privé.
Sexy in silver
Florence Pugh looked gorgeous in her silver and futuristic wow gown by Del Core. No wonder she caused a real flurry of flashbulbs in this dress.
Emily Blunt opted for a glittering silver gown by Schiaparelli, Charlize Theron for an elegant silk gown by Dior Haute Couture. And Gabrielle Union glittered and sparkled in Carolina Herrera, while Anya Taylor-Joy enchanted in a dress by Dior.
Also top: Emma Stone wore a mint green gown with an XXL peplum by Louis Vuitton. Jennifer Lawrence came in a polka dot dress by Dior. Da'vine Joy Randolph sparkled in light blue from Louis Vuitton.
The Oscars were awarded for the 96th time on Monday night. Jimmy Kimmel hosted the show for the fourth time.
