Doncic makes NBA history

NBA superstar Luka Doncic has achieved something historic. The Slovenian became the first player in the history of the North American basketball league to achieve a triple-double in six games in a row. Doncic scored 39 points, ten rebounds and ten assists in his Dallas Mavericks' 142:124 win away from home against the Detroit Pistons.

This was the sixth game in a row in which he reached double figures in three categories - a new record. Previously, Russell Westbrook had held this record with five such games in a row since 2017.

It was Doncic's 16th triple-double of the season.
