Bremen against Borussia Dortmund from 18.30 LIVE
Borussia Dortmund win 2:1 at Werder Bremen - despite Marcel Sabitzer being sent off with a red card shortly before the break after a foul.
Dortmund defended fourth place with the win in Bremen, but lost Sabitzer. The Styrian was shown the red card after a hard tackle on Mitchell Weiser (45.+1), with his club leading 2-0 at the time thanks to Donyell Malen (21) and Jadon Sancho (38).
BVB coach Edin Terzic spoke of a "harsh" exclusion. "You can no longer influence the decision, but perhaps you can influence how long he is banned for," said the coach. Should Sabitzer have to sit out two games, he would miss the clash against his former club FC Bayern.
Referee Deniz Ayteki: "It certainly wasn't intentional on his part, but he noticed it himself, he hit his Achilles heel and we simply have to protect the players' health."
With Romano Schmid playing until the 84th minute and without the injured Marco Friedl, Werder only managed to score the consolation goal through Justin Njinmah (70').
