“Amok lettering” in schools is becoming fashionable

A few days ago there was great excitement about an "announcement" of a killing spree at a school in Bregenz (Vorarlberg), and now it has been copied at a school in Hard. 

Last week, the words "Amoklauf 04.03" were discovered on the wall tiles in a girls' toilet at a school in Bregenz. As a result, the school was constantly monitored by the police - but lessons were not suspended and there were no incidents on the day in question. As the police report, however, similar lettering has now also been discovered in a school in Harden. 

After becoming aware of the incident, the school management filed a complaint with the police and the investigation is ongoing. The parents of the pupils, the Education Directorate and the Bregenz district authority were also informed of the situation immediately.

Second school also under observation
The school management has scheduled educational and awareness-raising lessons for the pupils for the coming days. Further measures will be taken after "careful examination of the situation and in close coordination with the school management, the Education Directorate and the security authorities", according to the executive. The neighboring Mittelweiherburg elementary school will also be included in the security concept.
