Mass abuse in Vienna
Mölzer: “This is migration from violent cultures”
The current "TV duel" between Andreas Mölzer and Eva Glawischnig on krone.tv dealt, among other things, with the dramatic case of mass abuse of a 12-year-old girl in Vienna. 17 suspects were named, the victim was virtually passed between the very young perpetrators.
Glawischnig: "This leaves one completely stunned. The only thing that can help is to investigate. Punish. Stop it." Mölzer goes further: "That's not enough. It should rather be said that the migration background of the perpetrators plays a decisive role. They were all very young Muslims between the ages of 13 and 18. This is migration from violent cultures."
Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer recently suggested lowering the legal age of consent in order to be able to impose penalties on extremely young offenders.
Another topic was Vladimir Putin's recent threat to the West if NATO soldiers were to be deployed in Ukraine. When asked whether Putin should be taken seriously in this regard, Eva Glawischnig said: "Putin is a crazy dictator who will stop at nothing. I'm very worried about that." And she ends thoughtfully: "Ukraine obviously can't take any more."
You can see the respective stance of the two duelists on this and other political topics in the video above.
