Early end to the season for Ofner and Rohrweck

Cross-country skiers Katrin Ofner and Johannes Rohrweck have ended their season prematurely. While Ofner's right ankle injury will not allow her to compete again this winter, Rohrweck underwent an operation on his damaged right shoulder in Salzburg at the end of last week, according to the Austrian Ski Association. 

The Upper Austrian sustained the injury in a fall at the World Cup in Nakiska (Canada) in January.

Rohrweck expected a full recovery in four months at the latest. Ofner suffered a torn collateral ligament in a training crash on the Reiteralm and will also miss the final three World Cup races.
