Not a good day
Burglar bitten and then chased off again
A burglar in the Innviertel region did not have a good day. First a dog caught him on Sunday, then he snatched at his arm. The crook managed to escape and tried his luck again at a neighbor's house. But someone was at home here too.
The crook was on the property of an Innviertel man (31) in Gundertshausen on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at around 2:20 p.m. and wanted to steal items from an open car. But he had not reckoned with the owner's dog, the hound snapped and bit the stranger on the forearm.
"I just want to buy something"
The barking of the dog and the cries of the burglar made the homeowner prick up his ears and he confronted the stranger. The man told him that he was Romanian and wanted to buy something and then fled the scene.
The injuries must not have been too bad, because a little later the same crook broke into a neighboring house. And again he was unlucky, was surprised by the 18-year-old daughter of the house owner and was again able to flee on foot. An immediate manhunt has so far been unsuccessful.
Description of the perpetrator
The police are now hoping for witnesses who can lead them to the crook. They should contact the Eggelsberg police station on 059133 4205. According to his own statement, the wanted man is Romanian, about 190 centimeters tall, has dark skin, was wearing a blue sweater, jeans, a black jacket and probably has a bite mark on his forearm.
