Argument escalated

14-year-old beaten up in front of school and hospitalized

An argument between two teenagers escalated outside a school in the Gries district of Graz on Friday afternoon. It ended in hospital for a 14-year-old boy: an 18-year-old punched him several times in the face.

According to the police, it is still unclear what the argument between the young people was about. In any case, the argument outside a school in Graz early on Friday afternoon ended in bloodshed. 

The 18-year-old Syrian hit the 14-year-old Afghan in the face several times with his fist. The younger boy was seriously injured and taken to Graz Regional Hospital by the ambulance service. Witnesses had observed the incident and called the emergency services. 

The police are now investigating the cause of the fight.
